I am a settler who lives and works on the stolen and unceded lands of the Wadawurrung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation in so-called 'Australia'. I fully support decolonisation and land back struggles, from this continent to Palestine and beyond.I am dedicated to diversity in my photography, and aim to represent all types of people fairly, accurately and with dignity. This includes, but is not limited to, people of all ethnic backgrounds, sexualities, gender identities, body types, and abilities. There are some gaps in my portfolio which will be filled as I keep doing more work. I also aim to be inclusive with who I work in behind the camera in the same way.I am fully against using generative AI. None of my images are edited using AI tools, and I never use AI generated text.I offer discounted or free services to people who need it, grassroots organisations, and for mutual aid and charity events. ABOUT ME
I'm Ally Lockhart, a 20 year old photographer and creative director based in Naarm (Melbourne) and Ballarat, in so-called 'Australia'.I specialise in commercial and event photography for creatives and brands who stand by their morals, who have something to say and refuse to make it palatable to society's expectations. I am dedicated to helping people communicate stories and worlds through my images.My photography style is clean with an edge — a technical understanding of lighting, composition, colour and post processing, but with enough grit and a human touch to avoid being sterile.I have 5 years of formal photography experience, and it has been my main interest my entire life. I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Photography at COLLARTS, and have already completed a Diploma of Photography, a Cert III in Screen and Media, and a Cert II in Creative Industries. I also have interests in fashion styling and music.
